Founded in 1993
to support the museum after a terrible bombing
that damaged the Gallery and some of its great artworks,
Amici degli Uffizi is a private, independent, no-profit association
whose mission is the promotion of all cultural activities
meant to maintain and improve the Uffizi Gallery collections,
and to encourage public awareness and appreciation
through exhibitions, publications, and orientation services
for the millions of visitors attracted by this unique artistic heritage. |
